The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) met to mull over the matter of local bodies elections in Islamabad and Punjab, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

The commission decided to write a letter to the Interior Ministry to issue notification of the number of reserved seats in Islamabad by July 12, according to a statement issued by the commission after the meeting.

The provincial election commission gave a briefing to the meeting. The process of registration of electoral groups in Punjab will be completed by July 17. The commission also decided to write a letter to the provincial government for amendments related to e-voting and EVM,
