One terrorist was killed and one arrested in a joint operation of CTD and police against Daesh, CTD Additional IG Shaukat Abbas said on Monday.

Addressing a press conference along with Peshawar CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar, he talked about the ethnic and sectarian killings from March to June of the ongoing year.

According to the initial investigation, he added the criminals used the same pattern and the murder weapon was 30 bore pistol.

Shaukat Abbas said an Afghan citizenship card, two mobile phones and a motorcycle were recovered from accused Khalid.

The CTD traced the rest of the group members from the accused’s cellphone and made the arrest of the key figure Aminullah, the AIG said.

The officer said the hunt for the others is on. The terrorists will be brought to book soon, he said adding that there is no room for terror organizations.
