Two children were killed and two others injured when a landslide hit their houses in Gulabad, Swat district on Monday, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to Rescue 1122, there were reports of people including children buried under the debris when the landslide hit their houses.

On receiving the information, Rescue 1122 medical and disaster rescue teams reached the spot and started the search operation.

The rescue team managed to pull out two children but two children died due to injuries and suffocation. The injured have been shifted to the Saidu Sharif Hospital.

The landslide was apparently triggered by recent rains in the area.

Rescue 1122 continues a search operation to find other missing people buried alive under the debris.
