Punjab universities scrutinize 220 candidates for posts of vice-chancellors

A total of 220 candidates are willing for the post of permanent Vice-Chancellor (VC) in 25 government universities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

As per details, the Higher Education Department has started screening the candidates while the Punjab government instructed to complete the scrutiny by July 20.

Among the 25 universities, 3 women's universities are also included

Moreover, the Higher Education Department had fixed the age limit of 65 years for the post of VC.

The tenure of the Vice Chancellor will be 4 years.

Most government universities did not have a permanent vice chancellor for 2 years.
