Parvez Elahi seeks better facilities in jail

Former Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi on Saturday filed two applications through his counsel in the court seeking better treatment and B-class facilities in jail,” the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Judge Ali Raza Awan of the Anti-Corruption Court Lahore heard the case.

Parvez Elahi’s lawyer Rana Intizar while giving arguments contended that his client is seriously ill and not getting treatment facilities properly.

He further held that Parvez Elahi is a former Chief Minister and deserves proper treatment facility in jail. Therefore, it is requested that following the order of the Lahore High Court Parvez Elahi be given better treatment facilities.

The lawyer also pleaded to the court to award B -class facilities in the jail to the former Punjab chief minister and PTI President.

The court asked the jail superintendent to respond to Pervez Elahi's request.

The court adjourned further hearing till June 13.
