CM Maryam meets delegation of differently-abled students

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif met a delegation of an NGO "Bedari" comprising 36 differently-abled students at CM Secretariat and got detailed briefing about the philanthropic services of it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Bedari Executive Director Anbreen Ajaib gave a detailed briefing about the "Bedari" services and the students presented the ‘Charter of Demand’ to Punjab Government.
The Chief Minister expressed affection with the female students and inquired from them about the challenges.
It was decided to formulate special committees for the ‘eradication of harassment’ in the girls' schools. It was agreed to celebrate International Girls' Day in the schools of Punjab. CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced to give tabs and e-bikes on the wish of female students. She apprised the girls about Women Virtual Station, Pink Button and Safety App.
The Chief Minister while apprising the participants about the details of ‘CM School Meal Program’ said, “We are introducing scholarships, laptops, e-bikes and other projects for the students of Punjab.”
The students while endorsing CM Punjab work, said CM Maryam Nawaz was rendering laudable services for the well-being of the people of Punjab. They prayed that may Allah Almighty bestow her with further successes and accomplishments in future as well. The Chief Minister also had group photo with the ‘Bedari’ delegation.
Provincial Minister for Information & Culture Azma Zahid Bokhari, MPA Sania Ashiq, Chief Secretary and other relevant officials were also present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister in her message on World Mental Health Day said, “Peace of mind and positive thoughts are the basis of a balanced life. People facing mental health issues deserve due attention, care and love instead of social apathy. Mental health is the key to peace of mind.”
The Chief Minister added, “Unfortunately mental health issues are often neglected. Owing to not taking mental problems seriously, people unfortunately suffer in silence and the treatment of mental illness is as important as physical illness.” The CM said, “ We are working to ensure provision of required facilities for mental health in Punjab. We should be considerate of the people around us, understand their feelings and reassure them that they are not alone. We want to create such a society where everyone can lead a happy life full of mental peace and comfort.”
Earlier, CM Maryam welcomed the trade delegation of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan and said that the Saudi Arabian trade delegation is welcomed from the core of heart to Pakistan. Saudi Arabia lives in the heart of every Pakistani.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif said, “Pak-Saudi relations are touching the heights of closeness. The leadership of PML-N is fully determined to make Pakistan attractive for the investors. The Saudi investors will be provided complete assistance for corporate farming.”
The Chief Minister added, “There are lucrative investment opportunities for Saudi investors in Punjab. Punjab provides excellent investment opportunities for Saudi infrastructure in agriculture, livestock, IT and telecom. We will provide complete facilitation and assistance to the Saudi investors in the energy, industry, tourism and textiles sectors. Saudi Arabia holds the position of an elderly brother and Saudi cooperation is unprecedented in every difficult hour.”
