A special team of the district administration raided several warehouses in Batkhela Bazar and Sakhakot area of Malakand on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the district administration recovered 33,113 sacks of sugar and 2,500 sacks of agricultural fertilizer were being hoarded by the dealers.
The channel report said eight hoarders were arrested and handed over to the police for further investigation. The special team also sealed the warehouses and confiscated the hoarded commodities.
The citizens welcomed the crackdown and urged the authorities to continue the operation against the hoarders and bring them to justice.
