Biden: 'I don't want to contain China'

US President Joe Biden insisted Sunday he does not want to "contain" China amid a host of deepening divisions on trade, security and rights.
"I don't want to contain China," he said at a news conference in Hanoi, but accused Beijing of "beginning to change some of the rules of the game" in international relations.
Biden says met Chinese premier at G20, talked about 'stability'
US President Joe Biden said Sunday he met Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the G20 summit and discussed "stability" with him, as Washington and Beijing butt heads on a range of global issues.
"We talked about stability... it wasn't confrontational at all," Biden said in Hanoi, where he struck a cooperation deal with Vietnam aimed at countering Beijing's influence.
