The festivities for Independence Day Friday commenced in Associate Press of Pakistan (APP) office, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

APP Managing director Asim Khichi cut the cake and started the celebrations. All the employees of the national news agency participated in the ceremony.

Asim Khichi, while addressing the meeting said that APP has a very vital role in the development of the country. He said that the management of the official news agency has taken all the steps for its progress and further improvement and will continue to work for its betterment. Every worker of the national news agency should work for projecting a better image of Pakistan on the world, said MD Asim Khichi.

He said that the proper use of social media can bring about change in the society and also bring in huge investments for the organization.

The Executive Director Adnan Akram Bajwa, Directors of all the departments and officials of APP employees union took part in the ceremony.
