Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori Friday signed the summary to dissolve the provincial assembly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Earlier, Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah signed the advice to dissolve the provincial assembly before sending it to the Governor House.

It is pertinent to mention here that the first session of the provincial assembly was held on August 13, 2018, and its five-year constitution term will end on August 12, 2023 (tomorrow).

Now, Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah and Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly Raana Ansar will hold a meeting to exchange three names each for the caretaker chief minister slot.

If they failed to reach a consensus then a parliamentary committee representing opposition and government MPs will sit together to finalise the name of the caretaker chief minister.

If also failed to agree on a single name, the matter will go to the Election Commission of Pakistan where the ECP will pick a name from the nominated candidates for the caretaker chief minister slot.
