Punjab CM awards prizes to matric position-holders

Also announces increase in support price of cotton

Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced an increase in support price of cotton in Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Punjab Chief Minister was addressing the prize distribution ceremony for the position-holding students of matriculation examinations at a hotel in Lahore on Friday.

He said that several steps have been taken to increase cotton cultivation in Punjab and he is also working for improvement in the health sector.

He said that Punjab government is trying to provide maximum relief to the people as despair is a sin, and create positive thinking, he advised the students.

Earlier, Mohsin Naqvi awarded medals, prizes and scholarships to 142 students of matriculation examinations of nine educational boards.

Caretaker Provincial Information Minister Aamir Mir was also present at the event.
