Amna Babar crowned best strength lifter in C'ship 2024

The Independence Day Women's Strength Lifting and Incline Bench Press Championship 2024 Sunday concluded in Lahore with Amna Babar emerging as the standout athlete.
The championship saw participation from over 60 female strength lifters from across Pakistan, including Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, and Lahore.
Amna Babar earned the title of best strength lifter at the event, thanks to her impressive lifts. She managed to lift 130 kilograms in the hack lift and 45 kilograms in the incline bench press.
The event was organized to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day. It was inaugurated by Chairman Muhammad Luqman, with special guests Rana Naeem, Muhammad Isa, Aqeel Javed Butt, and Maryam Aqeel Shah in attendance.
The competition saw fierce rivalry across different weight categories.
Among the 58-kilogram class, athletes such as Mahnoor Shakeel, Nimra Ramzan, and Maryam Rafiq displayed exceptional performances.
In the 65-kilogram category, Emaan Fatima, Aina Moiz, and Manahil Shakeel expressed their strength and skills.
The plus 65-kilogram category witnessed intense competition, with athletes like Merab, Misbah Arshman Tanveer, Saba Tanveer, Iraf Fatima, Lareb Kamal, Arooj Kiran, Aamna Babar, and Muneeba Sandhu claiming gold medals.
