Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has intensified preparations for the upcoming local government elections in Islamabad by forming a coordination committee, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.

According to the channel report, the five-member committee includes PTI Islamabad leaders Chaudhry Ilyas Mehrban, Malik Amir, Tanveer Qazi, Shiraz Kiyani, and Qamar Inayat Raja. 

The committee will oversee the process of receiving and scrutinising applications from PTI candidates for the elections. 

Additionally, the committee will ensure the provision of a legal team to assist candidates during the nomination, scrutiny, and other related matters.
