A spy agency's one-year performance report presented to PM

PM Shehbaz praises the secret agency's role in Pakistan's security and sovereignty

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Tuesday expressed his satisfaction with the Intelligence Bureau's (IB) performance and said that it had successfully completed all the additional tasks assigned to the organization to safeguard national interests.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Director General of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Fawad Asadullah Khan presented the organization's annual performance report to the Prime Minister in a meeting on Tuesday.
Talking to the spy agency head, the PM said IB has played a key role in eliminating criminal activity and terrorism in the country. He said IB has always been at the forefront of providing timely and reliable information to make the right decisions.
He also appreciated the professionalism of Fawad Asadullah Khan and his efforts to improve the agency's performance. In addition, he generously paid tribute to the martyrs of the Bureau. PM Shehbaz Sharif said the nation is proud of its martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of their homeland.
On this occasion, IB Director General thanked the PM for his confidence in the functioning of the secret agency which is the largest and an important civilian intelligence agency in the country.
