Five Children in the Civil Hospital of Mithi in Tharparkar Tuesday passed away due to malnutrition and other deadly diseases, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In the last 24 hours, five children have died in the civil hospital of Mithi due to malnutrition and other fatal diseases. The health department said that the ages of the deceased children ranged from newborns to a month and a year.

According to the health department, 39 children died this month which added up to a total of 460 children who died in this year.

The major reasons for the high child mortality rate are malnutrition and poor health services provided in the area. Health officials are not taking any measures to prevent more child deaths from occurring.
