The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started efforts to host a tri-national or bilateral series before the World Cup 2023, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

It is learnt that the cricket boards of Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh and South Africa have been contacted for the series.

The PCB has offered the four boards to come to Pakistan in August to play a tri-national or bilateral series.

It has sent an e-mail to the four boards, requesting them to come to Pakistan for the series before the World Cup to embrace the conditions of Asia.

The PCB, however, is yet to receive a positive response from the four boards.

The board wants the Pakistani players to play three to five ODI matches before the World Cup.
