Punjab Anti-Corruption raids to arrest PTI Chairman's sister Uzma Khan

Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment made a raid to arrest the former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman's sister Dr Uzma Khan and her husband Ahad Majeed at their house in Lahore on Sunday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the spokesperson of the Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab said the former premier's sister Dr Uzma Khan and her husband Ahad Majeed were involved in the mega corruption scandal.

The spokesperson of the establishment confirmed that Dr Uzma Khan and her husband Ahad Majeed could not be arrested.
The spokespersons said a case was registered against former Prime Minister's sister Dr Uzma Khan after being found guilty of fraudulently purchasing land worth billions of rupees.
The spokesperson said the investigation of this mega corruption scandal was going on in the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment Lahore office.
The spokesperson also said the Anti-corruption Establishment will continue to act indiscriminately against corrupt elements.

The spokesperson said that Uzma Khan, in cooperation with her husband, is accused of illegally acquiring 5,261 land channels in Leh through fraud and forgery and that she bought them for only 130 million rupees against the actual amount of billions of rupees.

The spokesperson said the land was bought when the Asian Development Bank (ADB) announced the Grand Thal Canal project to irrigate drylands.
