The Punjab government has decided to withdraw the deployment of the Pakistan Army to maintain law and order in the province and send the troops back to their barracks.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Punjab Home Department has written a letter to the federal government to recall the army from Punjab.
It is written in the letter that the army troops deployed in Punjab should be de-requisitioned with immediate effect under intimation to this department.
