In a major operation across Punjab, the Counter-Terrorism Department arrested 21 terrorists including four key commanders, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The intelligence-based operation was carried out in different cities of Punjab including Lahore.

The CTD officials recovered explosive material, detonators, IED bombs and hand grenades from the possession of the arrested terrorists.

Some of the terrorists were identified as: Shahid, Amin, Gul Rehman, Azad, Ishaq, Ijaz, Javed, Mudassar, Iqbal, Isa, Shahbaz, and Saif.

According to the CTD, cases were registered against the outlaws and interrogation was underway.

During current week, as many as 700 combing operations were conducted and 49 suspicious persons were arrested, the CTD informed adding that 29,829 persons were interrogated.
