All operation theatres of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) have been made fully functional after the infection audit clearance report, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PIC administration temporarily closed seven out of nine operation theatres for an infection audit a week ago causing immense problems for the patients.  

Caretaker Punjab Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram said now, the safe treatment of patients will be ensured at the PIC.

All operation theatres have been activated after infection audit clearance, he added.

 Dr. Javed Akram said that the department will ensure the safe treatment of patients in public sector hospitals of the province.

He congratulated the PIC administration for striving for infection audit clearance for operation theatres.

He announced that filter clinics of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology are being opened across the province.
