Ramiz, Waqar, Waseem included in Asia Cup 2023 commentary panel

The star-stubbed commentary panel for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 has been announced, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.  

The panel featured experienced commentators from different countries.  

Five from India, four from Pakistan, and one from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand each will be included in the panel.

Pakistan’s Ramiz Raja — who made his return to the commentary box during Sri Lanka vs Pakistan Test series last month for the first time since September 2021 — is also included in the panel along with the legendary duo Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.

Former New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris will also add a neutral voice to the panel.

Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjrekar, Russel Arnold, Gautam Gambhir, Irfan Pathan, Athar Ali Khan, Deep Dasgupta, and Bazid Khan are also included

in the commentary panel.

The PCB will host the Asian event jointly at home and in Sri Lanka.

Hosts Pakistan will play the tournament's opener against Nepal who will be playing their first Asia Cup this time. This match will be played on August 30 in Multan.
