Mohsin Naqvi, JUP's Owais Noorani stress importance of national unity amid challenges

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a significant meeting with Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) Secretary General Shah Owais Noorani to address the pressing national challenges and promote religious harmony.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the leaders discussed various issues of mutual interest, focussing primarily on fostering religious unity and brotherhood across the nation.
During their discussion, both leaders also evaluated the overall situation in the country, emphasising the critical importance of intersecting unity.
Minister Naqvi lauded JUP's dedication to Pakistan, highlighting the necessity of collective efforts to guide the nation through its current challenges.
The interior minister said, "We must unite for the sake of Pakistan and advance with positive thinking and consensus to navigate the country out of troubled waters."
Shah Owais Noorani affirmed his commitment to the nation's progress, assuring his full support for the government's efforts towards development and prosperity.
JUP is an Islamist political party founded in 1948 by leaders of All India Sunni Conference. The party is considered a moderate religious force in the country.
The JUP exercised considerable political influence in politics during the 1970s to 2003. Its students' wing Anjuman Talaba-e-Islam (ATI) has a following in Sunni institutions across the country.
