A district and sessions court in Islamabad Wednesday adjourned the hearing of the Toshakhana case till tomorrow despite a demand from the lawyers for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to adjourn the hearing till Saturday next, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PTI’s legal team submitted to the court a copy of the petition filed in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

“Today, the hearing on the petition filed in the IHC has been cancelled. We request that Saturday be fixed for the hearing of the case because the whole day tomorrow will be spent in the IHC,” Barrister Gohar pleaded with the court.

“We are adjourning the case till tomorrow and will conduct the hearing on a daily basis,” the court said and adjourned the hearing of the case till July 13 (tomorrow).

An exchange of bitter words took place between lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat and the court.

“We are not listening to you today. We will see it tomorrow,” the court said.

“You cannot do it like that,” Sher Afzal Marwat said to the court. “It seems you have been brought here for this,” the court remarked.
