Three armed men Wednesday robbed a jewellery shop on Tahli Mohri road in Dheri Hasan Abad of Rawalpindi in broad daylight, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The epidemic of robberies and theft continued to plague Rawalpindi as dacoits, in the Civil Line police station area stole gold worth millions from a jewellery store at gunpoint and fled away.

The shopkeepers in the neighbourhood opened fire on the robbers when their motorcycle did not start. Gunfire was exchanged for 20 minutes and the Police reached the spot an hour later when the dacoits were long gone.

In the surveillance footage that surfaced, the perpetrators can be seen escaping with the gold and holding a gun.
