Another PTI lawmaker quits party

Another Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member  Muhammad Ali Aziz, aka Ali GG, has announced partying ways with the party, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

In a video message, he said he joined the PTI in 1996 and was elected MPA on a Karachi seat in the 2018 general election.

He said he wanted a break from politics to spend time with his family, especially with his ailing mother.

He said he has already condemned the May 9 incidents and stressed the need for bringing to book the culprits.

He reiterated his resolve to continue backing the Pak Army.

Last month, PTI members took to the streets to vent their spleen against the arrest of ex-PM Imran Khan in a corruption case.

The protesters attacked public property, state assets and sensitive installations.

The angry protesters stormed GHQ in Rawalpindi, Corps Commander House in Lahore and Radio Pakistan in Peshawar. Innocent peopled died and the riots left a trail of destruction.

A number of PTI office-bearers and members announced partying ways with the party in the wake of the May 9 riots.
