Big fall in gold prices in Pakistan against int'l market

Though the yellow metal on Monday gained a shine in the international market but in Pakistan, the rates of gold dropped by Rs1,750 per tola at the beginning of the week.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the price of 24 karats pure gold decreased by Rs1,750 per tola to Rs2,25,500 per tola.

The price of 10 grams of 24 karats fine gold was also reduced by Rs1,500 to Rs1,93,330 per 10 grams in the local market on Monday.

While the price of 10 grams of the 22 karats also decreased and traded at Rs1,77,219 per 10 grams in the Pakistani jewellers market.

On Monday, the price of gold increased in the international market by US$2 per ounce to US$1,963 per ounce.

On the other hand, the prices of pure silver of 24 karats were not changed and traded at Rs2,650 per tola and Rs2271.94 per 10 grams.
