Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir Monday held a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHd TV channel.

Citing its sources, the channel reported that the Army Chief briefed the Prime Minister about the professional matters of the Pakistan Army.

He also gave a briefing on the prevailing security situation at the borders.

Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed confidence in the preparedness of the Pakistan Army to thwart any external or internal threat.

Sources said the Army chief and the PM also held a consultation regarding the National Security Committee meeting.
