Court defers hearing of 13 PTI women’s bail pleas

Dr Yasmin Rashid sent to jail on 14-day judicial remand: LHC disposed of Senator Ijaz’s application

An anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Monday deferred its ruling on bail applications of 13 PTI women leaders who were involved in Jinnah House attack, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court adjourned the hearing until June 19, saying decision on bail applications of all women will be announced simultaneously.

Lawyers for PTI leaders Khadija Shah and Sanam Javed concluded their arguments while the court directed counsels for other women leaders to submit their arguments on next hearing.

ATC Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar conducted the hearing.

Physical remand of Yasmin Rashid rejected

A court in Lahore on Monday rejected prosecution’s plea to extend physical remand of Dr Yasmin Rashid and instead sent her to jail on 14-day judicial remand.

LHC disposes of senator’s plea

The LHC on Monday disposed of an application filed by PTI Senator Ijaz Chaudhry seeking B-class facility in jail.

The court dismissed the plea after it was withdrawn by the applicant.

The court however directed the senator that he can move to the concerned trial court if he desires.
