The ruling alliance, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the events of the attack on the state on May 9 are a dark chapter in history and measures should be taken to eradicate the 'Fitna'.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PDM chief addressed a press conference in Peshawar on Monday and said the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ruthlessly destroyed the economy.
He said due to the PTI government's wrong policies, Pakistan is currently under an economic crisis but the coalition government of the PDM presented a balanced budget.
Fazlur Rehman assured the nation that his party, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) will continue its sharing in the government's efforts to provide financial relief to the people.
Talking about Pakistan's foreign issues and ideological identity, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the introduction of Pakistan to the world has been changed as the Islamic identity has been abolished and it has been made a secular country.
He said the occupation of Kashmir is the result of the nexus between the PTI chairman and Indian Prime Minister Modi. Anyhow, he reiterated his solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers.
He also welcomed Chinese investment in Pakistan.
