Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif Monday tabled a condemning resolution against the vandalism on May 9 in the National Assembly (NA) and demanded the trial of the miscreant leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) under the Army Act 1952 as per law.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan (JIP) opposed the resolution and sent the PTI leaders' cases to the military courts under the Army Act.
In the resolution, it is said that a party [PTI] and its leader crossed all limits on May 9 and attacked the military installations violating the constitution and law.
The resolution said their attacks caused irreparable damage to state institutions and the country so the proceedings against them should be completed according to the constitution and law.
The resolution also urged that the action against the accused should not be delayed even for one day.
The resolution said human rights were not violated during the action against miscreants and criminals.
The resolution said the armed forces are authorized to take action against the culprits involved in the attack on military installations across the world so the action under the Pakistan Army Act 1952 should be made against all persons.
Khawaja Asif addressed the assembly in favour of his resolution before tabling it and said an attempt was made to burn 85 planes standing at Mianwali Airbase.
He said action should be taken against the accused without a delay of a single day and trials will be held in military courts according to the law mentioned in the books.
About the violation of human rights in Pakistan, he said international organizations do not watch the violations of human rights in Kashmir.
