An accountability court (AC) in Rawalpindi on Thursday rejected the acquittal plea filed by former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan in the 190 million pounds case (Al-Qadir Trust case), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The court ordered the PTI founder’s lawyers to cross-examine the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) investigation officer (IO) tomorrow.

AC judge Nasir Javed Rana heard the case at Adiala Jail.

Imran Khan had on Saturday filed an acquittal plea before the Accountability Court in the £190 million pounds case following the Supreme Court judgment in the NAB amendment case.

The former prime minister’s lawyers also attached with the petition a copy of the apex court’s judgment.

The judge issued notices to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and sought arguments from both parties on September 10.
