Gandapur assures all-out support to business community in KP
Talks were in final stage with various companies for setting up of KP’s own transmission lines

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur ha said that the province was facing serious challenges in terms of law and order, like other sectors, the business community was also severely affected by this situation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During an interaction with business community in Peshawar House on Thursday, the Chief Minister lauded the courage and tenacity with which the business community faced untoward situation.
He pledged that the provincial government was committed to solve the problems faced by the business community.
Gandapur said number of initiatives were underway for business community, adding that “We have to take the province forward with mutual trust and joint efforts”.
He said the promotion of employment opportunities in the province was a big challenge and in this respect private industrial sector must play its key role.
Gandapur said that three different programs have been set up to provide loans for creation of employment opportunities. He said special attention was being given to the development of the productive sectors in the province.
The Chief Minister claimed, “Our vision is to make the province self-sufficient in industrial production”.
He said KP government will proceed with suggestions and consultation of industrialists. The Chief Minister said the government was trying to recover provincial arrears from the Centre.
“Injustices were bring made with the province by the Centre”, Gandapur said. He demanded the support of the business community in this struggle for rights.
The Chief Minister said steps were being taken to resolve the power issue on a permanent basis. The province has formed its own Grid and Transmission Company. He claimed KP government’s 60 MW power was ready while 800MW power projects were in pipeline.
The CM said the discussions were in final stage for setting up of transmission line by KP government, adding that cheap electricity will be provided to local industries after work on transmission line is completed.
He said KP province has fulfilled its responsibility regarding the IMF program. Gandapur said trade with Afghanistan should also be legalized as stopping trade is not the solution to the problem, those responsible should fulfil their responsibility in this regard.
“We can no longer walk blindly, problems have to be solved”, Chief Minister said. He said the “most of our problems are related to the federation”.
