A woman died after drinking alcohol in the Gulgasht area of Multan, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to police sources, the woman drank alcohol along with her two companions.

Her two companions fled after leaving her in Nishtar Hospital in critical condition.

She died during treatment at the hospital. Her body was shifted to Nishtar Hospital mortuary for post-mortem, the police sources added.

Gulgasht police station reached the spot and started an investigation. 

A case has been registered against her two absconding accomplices identified as Police Constable Shahid and Ayesha Shahid.
