Dawood University of Engineering and Technology Vice Chancellor  Dr Samreen Hussain came under attack in Karachi.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the vice chancellor remained safe in the attack that occurred in the Orangi Town area of the Sindh provincial capital.

Dr Samreen said she went to the Orangi Town Girls College to attend an Independence Day event when unidentified gunmen attacked.

Dr Samreen is the wife of PPP leader Dr Asim Hussain.
