Five people, including a woman and three children, died while another four people sustained injuries in a road accident in the Sanghar district of Sindh on Tuesday.

The tragedy took place near a police post on Jamrao Road where a truck and a motorcycle rickshaw were hit.

Locals shifted the injured to the hospital by another rickshaw as, according to rescuers, police did not respond to their calls for an hour.

Rescuers transported the bodies to the morgue.

Later, police reached the spot and took the truck driver into custody.
