In Faisalabad, the notorious tout mafia operating within the passport office has shown its true colours by violently attacking 24 News reporter Waqas Baig and cameraman Muhammad Usman on Tuesday.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the journalists were targeted by the tout mafia for exposing the illegal activities continuing in the Faisalabad passport office. 

As per the report, the incident occurred when the media team attempted to bring the mafia's activities to light, leading to a violent backlash. 

The tout mafia, reportedly working under the protection of passport office officials, resorted to physical violence to suppress the truth. Faisalabad police arrested the accused persons involved in the attack on media team.

The brutal assault sparked widespread condemnation from journalists' organisations and the Faisalabad Press Club.

Journalistic bodies have strongly condemned the attack, calling for immediate action against those responsible and demanding that the authorities ensure the safety of media personnel working to expose corruption.
