European woman gang-raped in Islamabad

A foreign woman was allegedly gang-raped by unidentified accused who later threw her in an area of G-6 Sector with her hands and feet tied with a rope, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In her initial statement to the police, the 28-year-old woman, a Belgian national, alleged that the accused subjected her to sexual violence and gang-raped her for five days.

Sources in police said a citizen alerted police through a call on 15 about the woman in G-6 area.

Police officials said the victim has been shifted to Polyclinic Hospital for medical check-up.

Murdered during dacoity

A young man was shot dead for offering resistance during a dacoity in Sidran Town area of Shahzad Town in Islamabad.

Robbers sneaked into a house by breaking the locks and shot dead Zubair who resisted their attempt. He breathed his last on the spot.

The victim’s family and relatives staged a demonstration to protest the non-cooperation of the Shahzad Town police. They placed the Zubair’s body at the centre of Taramarri Chowk and blocked it for traffic and chanted slogans against the police.
