Pakistan’s High Commission in India marks Independence Day in New Delhi

Pakistan’s High Commission in India also celebrated 78th Independence Day of the nation in New Delhi, capital of India, with a renewed pledge to work for the betterment of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to spokesman of the High Commission, Pakistan High Commission celebrated the 78th anniversary of independence with national enthusiasm.

Saad Ahmed Warraich, Pakistan's Chargé d'affaires in India, hoisted the national flag in the lawn of the High Commission.

On this occasion, the messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out in front of the participants of the ceremony.

Saad Waraich said the Muslims of the subcontinent created a history with the creation of Pakistan. He said Pakistan was founded on the principles of democracy, social equality and tolerance.

Pakistan's Chargé d'affaires said the nation is determined to achieve an Islamic welfare state as envisioned by its forefathers.

Saad Waraich said the country’s mission towards stability of Pakistan was in full swing. He paid respects to the brave sons of motherland who laid down their lives for the defense of the motherland.

Pakistan's charge d’affaires expressed Pakistan's complete solidarity with Muslim brothers and sisters under Indian oppression and occupation in Kashmir. He hoped that Kashmiris heroic struggle for fundamental rights, including the right to self-determination, will be met with success.

Saad Waraich said sustainable peace and stability in South Asia depends on a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir conflict in accordance with the UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Pakistan's Chargé d'affaires also appreciated the historic performance of Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem who made the whole nation proud by winning a gold medal in Paris Olympics, spokesman of Pakistan High Commission concluded.
