Over 3,741 aspirants submit applications for PML-N tickets so far

 The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Tuesday continued to receive applications from candidates eager to contest in the upcoming general elections here at Model Town Lahore, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.  

 The process for submission of forms for the national and provincial assembly seats from the aspiring candidates started on November 1 and will continue until November 20.

 According to reports, the party has witnessed a surge in enthusiasm as ticket aspirants eagerly submit their requests.

 An impressive total of 3,741 aspirants already having submitted their applications.

 Of these, 1,396 aspirants have sought PML-N tickets for the 272 general seats in the National Assembly, while 1,890 applications have been received for provincial assembly seats.

 So far, 455 candidates have submitted applications for seats reserved for women and minorities

 Notably, those seeking National Assembly tickets have collectively contributed Rs 2 lakh along with their applications.

 A bank draft of Rs one lakh rupees is being asked for the party fund with the request of the candidates of the provincial assembly.

 The party has so far collected more or less Rs 70 crores from the candidates aspiring for tickets.

 As the November 20 deadline approaches, PML-N anticipates crossing RS one billion mark in the party fund.
