Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has unveiled a comprehensive plan to reward and support top position-holder students in all educational boards of the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a meeting chaired by CM Marayam in Lahore on Thursday, the Punjab government okayed a scheme to cover the educational expenses of 25,000 students in the province.

It was decided in the meeting that the Punjab government would pay more than Rs 125 billion annually to support these students, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their educational pursuits. This initiative is poised to provide significant relief to families and encourage students to continue their studies with vigor.

The meeting agreed to award prizes to position holders from all education boards across Punjab.

The CM not only approved these awards for the students but also ensured that the teachers who played a crucial role in these students' success would be recognized with prizes of their own.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister took steps to address the transportation challenges faced by female students by launching a transport program specifically for them.

In the first phase of this program, 60 girls' colleges across Punjab will be provided with buses, facilitating safer and more convenient commutes for female students.

Maryam Nawaz also okayed the establishment of IT hubs in all districts of Punjab.

These hubs are designed to equip students with essential digital skills, preparing them for the challenges of the modern world.

The CM ordered immediate action to set up these hubs.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister instructed concerned officials to take necessary steps to revitalize the laptop scheme, ensuring that students have access to the tools they need to excel in their studies.

This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of students, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, by providing them with laptops to aid their educational pursuits.

Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar Dal, and Secretary Higher Education Dr. Farrukh Naveed participated in the meeting.
