The first part of the three-part-docuseries “India’s Saffron Brigade” won the Association of International Broadcasting Award 2022 at the London Film Festival. The winning part highlighted the communal divide in India and the rise of Hindu nationalism. In an Interview, the award winner said that he wanted to understand what is causing the rise of religious nationalism in India, Indonesia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka and how this could and would impact peace and stability in these countries.
Shehzad Hameed also documented the rise of Islamic right-wing groups and how it affects the people of Pakistan and Indonesia the two countries with the Muslim majority population in the other two parts of the series.
