Kalakhatai to become export hub with state-of-the-art vegetable and fruit market

CM Maryam to lay foundation stone of market; Project to be completed within 18 months

The Punjab government is planning to establish a modern and innovative vegetable and fruit market in Kalakhatai, aiming to transform it into an export hub for the province. 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will lay the foundation stone for this state-of-the-art project.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed that the market be constructed to modern and international standards and completed within 18 months. 

The project is being developed in collaboration with the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and the Agriculture Marketing Authority.

The market will have direct access to various roads, including GT Road and the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway, to facilitate the transportation of goods and passengers. 

Additionally, the routes of the Metro Bus and Speedo Bus Service will be extended to support vendors and customers of the market. 

This development is set to enhance the region's agricultural trade and boost economic growth.
