Banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Hafiz Saad Rizvi on Thursday asked his party’s executive committee and activists to end the ongoing anti-government protest, clear the roads and return to their homes peacefully.
In his handwritten message to the TLP executive committee that was shared by Special Assistant to Prime Minister Dr Shehbaz Gill via Twitter on Thursday evening, Saad said nobody should take any extraconstitutional step in the national interest. He asked the TLP activists to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies instead of taking the law into their hands.
Saad Rizvi’s message came out hours after the federal cabinet formally approved the Interior Ministry’s summary seeking ban on the TLP under the anti-terrorism law of Pakistan.
