A female student at a women's college in Satellite Town B Block in Rawalpindi attempted suicide by jumping from the college rooftop on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per the details, the girl identified as Rabia Mairaj was standing on the college rooftop and was about to jump.

The college administration managed to distract her as they started a conversation with her while they quickly called Rescue 1122.

The Rescue 1122 team arrived at the scene promptly and skilfully intervened, preventing the girl from jumping.

The rescue officials asked her the reason for attempting suicide to which she cited domestic issues.
