Former inspector general Punjab prisons Mirza Shahid Saleem Baig has been arrested by the intelligence agencies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Shahid Saleem Baig who served as IG Jails for a term of five years was taken into custody by the personnel of the intelligence agencies on Wednesday night from his private residence.

He was appointed IG jails during the last PTI government.
