Legislation is our right and no one can stop us, says Khurshid Shah

Pakistan People’s Party leader Khurshid Shah has said making law is the lawmakers’ right and no one can quell this right.

“Legislation is our right. No one can stop us,” he said while talking to the media on Monday.

Flanked by Naveed Qamar, he said: “Some items have been removed from the bills.”

He added: “We have to strengthen the parliament.

“We have taken Maulana into confidence. He asked Maulana to sit with us.

“The bill will be brought to the parliament after holding deliberations with all the parties.

Naveed Qamar said: “The JUI and PPP will solve the issues together

“Talks with Maulana remain fruitful.  There should be no hasty legislation.

“If they sit together, there will be a national consensus."

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto led a delegation to a meeting with JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to deliberate upon the matter. 

The delegates were Khurshid Shah, Naveed Qamar and Murtaza Wahab while JUI leaders Maulana Abdul Ghafoor, Maulana Asad Mehmood anther others were also present.
