Transporters reduce fares by 5pc

All Pakistan Public Transport Federation (APTC) President Malik Nadeem on Monday announced 5 percent decrease in fares, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a statement issued in Lahore, he urged the government to announce reduction in challan fees, prices of spare parts and tyres to facilitate the transporters.

He said that recent cut in POL products is zero as compared to oil prices in international markets. He sought more reduction in prices of petroleum products.

Malik Nadeem said that the Federation decided to decrease fares to provide cheep transport facilities to people. He said that in future they will try their best to take such kind of measures to betterment and welfare of general public.
