Four robbers killed in encounter, Rs50m recovered

Four robbers were killed while a policeman sustained injuries in an alleged encounter that took place on Monday in Hyderabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Police said four robbers were looting people on the main road of Hyderabad and police on receiving a tip of information rushed to the spot. Seeing the police, the robbers opened straight fire and escaped from the scene and the police kept them chasing.
Both sides traded fires near the bypass where four robbers sustained multiple injuries and all of them breathed their last while they were being shifted to the hospital.
SSP Amjad Sheikh said that Rs50m has been recovered from the possession of robbers.
The Police said that the deceased robbers were identified as Tahir, Aqib, Zaheer, and Anees.
Two of the slain robbers belong to Karachi, one from Sukkur and one from Naushahro Feroze district, police said.
