A suspicious bag containing three hand grenades, a pistol with bullets, a map of the Red Zone area in the capital city, and a note was found on Trail 5 in Islamabad on Sunday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the bomb disposal squad was called to the scene and safely disposed of three hand grenades that were inside the bag.
The other materials were moved to a secure location for further investigation.
The area was cordoned off and the disposal squad continued to search for any other explosives or threats.
The law enforcement agencies are looking into the possible motives and suspects behind the incident.
