The federal government has made Covid-19 (coronavirus) test mandatory for Hajj pilgrims before departure to Saudi Arabia for the pilgrimage, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

It would be required to obtain the coronavirus test report 72 hours prior to the Hajj flight.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has decided to conduct the test in the light of the instructions given by the Saudi government.

All the Hajj campuses, including Dar-ul-Hajj Lahore, will have designated laboratories campuses.

Moreover, Hajj pilgrims will also be able to go to the respective Hajj camp and get tested for corona virus.

The test will have to be done at Islamabad Diagnostic Center, and Khan Labs and Diagnostic Center.

Similarly, the test can be done from Advanced Laboratory, Test Zone, and Real Time PCR Laboratory.
